Crystal: Coming of Darkness is a 2016 American 3D computer-animated musical romantic fantasy film produced by Fox Animation for 20th Century Fox. It is a direct sequel to the 2009 film Crystal and was written and directed by Tim Minchin from a screenplay by David Lindsay-Abaire, Joel Cohen, and Alec Sokolow with a story by Conrad Vernon, and stars the reprised voices of Selena Gomez, Jesse Eisenberg, Jonah Hill, Whoopi Goldberg, Sam Elliott, John Cleese, and Emily Blunt, along with new additions to the cast including Josh Brolin, Michael Peña, Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Jackman, Ellie Kemper, John Lithgow, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The film premiered on October 2, 2016 in Los Angeles, and was released in theaters in RealD 3D and select IMAX theaters on October 7, 2016. It received universal acclaim, with many critics highlighting its animation, screenplay, score, humor, and vocal performances. The film grossed $676.2 million worldwide against its $155 million budget, making it the third highest-grossing film from Fox Animation Studios, as well as the twelfth highest-grossing film of 2016.
